Introduction

Born Deer Creek, Illinois, son of Jacob and Elizabeth Wolber Zehr. Married Edna Good, 1942. Ordained to the ministry, 1942. Pastor at three Illinois Congregations (1942-1958) and Prarie Street, Elkhart, Indiana (1958-64. South Central Menonite Conference General Secretary, 1964-1966; Executive Committee Mennonite General Conference, 1966-1972; Associate Secretary in Evangelism, Minsterial Information and Stewardship, Mennonite Board of Congregational Ministries, 1972-1976.

The collection includes correspondence and writings, topical data files, sermons from his radio ministry (1950's), and Illinois Conference Executive Committee business (1940-1956). Following the restricted materials and personal folders, the collection is organized into two sections: Correspondence and alphabetically arranged topical files which include organizational involvement.
