Biographical Sketch

Yake was a Public school teacher; Principal of the Orphan Home School, West Liberty, Ohio, 1918-20; editor of YCC, 1920-1954; writer and editor of Sunday School and Bible School materials; member of Mennonite Board of Education and its various committees. He was very interested in church schools and in young people; helped pioneer Young People's Institutes.
