Introduction
These
papers were deposited into the Archives by Gerald C. Studer, Lansdale,
Pennsylvania, in 1973 and 1997. Studer has also been a regular
contributor of newspaper clippings to the Archives, from the 1950s to
the 1990s - these clippings reveal the whole spectrum of faith and life
of Mennonites and Amish, as well as the broader Christian community,
during the last 50 years.

date from 1940-1965, including 150th anniversary program on the
Scottdale Mennonite Congregation, 1790-1940. Studer was then a pastor
at Scottdale Mennonite and a member of the Historical Committee of the
Mennonite Church.
Research on Henry Clay Frick, 1849-1919, by Studer. Includes published
interview of granddaughter, Miss Helen C. Frick, 1959, and also
litigation by her, 1965-67, on defamatory statements made about her
grandfather.
