Biographical Sketch

1912    Born

1922    Ordained to the ministry in the Mennonite Church, and became a well-known minister in the Allegheny Mennonite Conference

1942    Director of Civilian Public Service Sideling Hill camp, Pennsylvania

1944    Began Johnstown Christian School, and was teacher here until 1968

1963    He completed a history of that conference in 1963, entitled Two Centuries of Struggle and Growth, 1763-1963, A History of Allegheny Mennonite Conference. (Distributed by Herald Press, Pa.)

1966    Founded Guidelines for Today, and was editor until 1989

1982    He also wrote the biography of his father, S. G. Shetler, in 1982, Preacher of the People, A Biography of S. G. Shetler (1871-1942) (Herald Press, Pa.)

1989    Died
