Scope and Content

The three farm ledgers were started by Carl W. Nunemaker as a single man at the age of 18. They became farm ledgers which included detailed income and expenses of Carl and Mary as they experienced farm life through the years, during World War I, into the 1920’s, and through the Depression and World War II. The summary of each ledger as well as the biography as provided by John Nunemaker, help explain the different entries.
