Biographical Sketch of Hettie Kulp Mininger

Hettie Kulp Mininger (1874-1965) was a Mennonite missions worker and a mother of three children.

Born on March 27, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania to Isaac L. (1849-1915) and Catherine Bergey (1847-1906) Kulp. She was the second of eight children.
1898-1900
Attended Elkhart Institute, graduated with a Commercial Degree
1904
Married J. D. Mininger on July 27, 1904
1904-1908
Worked as matron at the Rittman Mennonite Old People’s Home, near Marshallville, Ohio, where her husband worked as superintendent
1906
Mother Catherine died on January 18 at age 59, daughter Ruth born on March 10
1908
Son Paul born on January 24
1909
Moved to a farm in Cherau, Colorado near La Junta; attended East Holbrook Mennonite Church
1911
Son Edward born on January 10; husband J. D. ordained at East Holbrook Mennonite Church on October 5
1912
Moved to Kansas City, Kansas where she worked at Mennonite gospel Mission
1941
Husband J. D. died on January 4 at age 61; moved to Goshen, Indiana; attended North Goshen Mennonite Church
1960
Moved to Harrisonburg, Virginia on June 4
1962
Daughter Ruth died on April 30; moved to Elkhart, Indiana to live with son Edward

Died on April 5 in Elkhart

Jacob D. Mininger (1879-1941) was a Mennonite leader, pastor, missions worker, evangelist, author and a father of three children.

Worked as superintendent at the Rittman Mennonite Old People’s Home, near Marshallville, Ohio, where his wife worked as matron
