Biographical
Sketch
Lewis S. Weber was
born on October 8, 1894 to Joseph & Mary Ann Schantz Weber near
Waterloo, Ontario. In 1918 he graduated from the Goshen College Academy
and was ordained to the ministry. In 1922 he married Edna Bowman after
which they took charge of the Mennonite Gospel Mission in Toronto where
they served for 9 years. IN 1931 they became missionaries in Argentina
under MBMC serving until 1949. From 1950 to 1961 he worked at the
Mennonite Publishing House as editor and translator. He also served as
the editor of the Allegheny Conference News magazine from 1957 to 1963.
He died on November 20, 1963.
