Biographical Sketch
Daniel G. Lapp (1867-1951) was a
Mennonite bishop and leader. He lived in Roseland, Nebraska and
Sterling, Illinois.
1867 Born near Line Lexington,
Pennsylvania on April 29 to Samuel W. and Sarah Gross Lapp
1893 Ordained as a minister on February 26, served as pastor of the
Roseland, Nebraska congregation for 48 years
1898 Married Ida M. Good on February 22; together they had 7 children
19----- Served as vice president of the Mennonite Board of Education
for 10 years
1915 Ordained as Bishop on April 6 for the Kansas-Nebraska conference
1940 Moved from Roseland, Nebraska to Sterling, Illinois, he served as
pastor for the West Sterling congregation for 6 years
1955 Died on December 15
