Introduction
A 1548 Froschauer German Bible
containing Christner Family Records, and some personal correspondence
and documents were deposited into the Archives by Levi D. Christner,
Wolcottville, Indiana, in 1971-72 and in 1975. Additional information
on the Christner family was deposited by E. Wayne Christner, Boardman,
Ohio, in 2000. The 1548 Froschauer Bible; the photographs taken of the
Bible; the Buckwalter Family Records, 1802-1837; and The Christners
[Family History] (August 15, 2000) were transferred to the Mennonite
Historical Library, Goshen College, in 2000. This library holds many
older family Bibles, and is a good resource for historians working on
genealogy and family history. The archives has retained the personal
correspondence.
