Biographical
Sketch
Dr. Lawrence
C. Anderson was a professor of geography
at Mankato State College in Mankato,
Minnesota. He was very interested in
the Hutterites, Mennonites, and the Amish
and collected many papers by or about
them. Dr. Anderson also wrote several
articles and pamphlets on plain people.
The collection also contains materials
about geography, the geography of religion,
and various utopian societies and collective
settlements.
