6. In 1950 two Mennonite families moved into the community and began attending Holly Grove Church, Westover, Md., twenty miles away. Seeing a spiritual need in the local community, they were instrumental in creating interest which resulted in the work at Snow Hill. Congregation at Snow Hill became officially organized in 1953. The Conestoga Church, Morgantown, Pa., assisted in the work here.

6. This Swiss congregation had no conference affiliation before joining the Virginia Conference in 1952. In 1936, three hundred thirty members withdrew and formed the present Kidron Church. In 1955 a group of members with Minister Lester D. Amstutz withdrew and formed the Bethel Church, Kidron, Ohio, an unaffiliated congregation.
