6. First meetinghouse erected in 1875; the second, erected in 1906, was remodeled in 1955. The congregations at Berlin and Millersburg were organized out of the Martin's Creek Church.
Martins-Pleasant View District 1834
First minister, William Westheffer. Services alternated between Martins, Orrville, and Pleasant View, North Lawrence, until the group organized into separate memberships in 1931. A log meetinghouse was erected at Martins in 1834. The first meetinghouse at Pleasant View was erected in 1856.

6. Work among the Choctaw Indians was started by David Z. Weaver, who formerly worked among the Creek Indians at Atmore, Ala., under the Lancaster Conference. Mashualaville was named for an Indian Chief Mashulatubbee who lived a few hundred feet from the Mennonite Chapel in Mashulaville. The Chief Mashula-tubbee was a signer of the Dancing Rabbit Creek Treaty in 1830.
