Central, Archbold, Ohio
Canton Amish Mennonite c. 1820
In 1820 a settlement was made southwest of Canton. The first minister was George Yutzy. Ministers from this church participated in the Diener Versammlung conferences. Became extinct about 1875. Families from this church found their way to the Beech Church, Louisville, Ohio, where they had relatives, and to the Madison County, Ohio, Amish settlement.

Mission founded 1904 by a joint committee of the Ohio Mennonite Conference and the Eastern A.M. Conference. In 1907 the Mennonite Board of Missions and Charities took the property and work over. When the congregation became independent of the Board of Missions and Charities, the congregation became known as the First Mennonite Church of Canton. See First Mennonite Church of Canton. The name "Canton Mission" is obsolete.

Supports three missionaries, also the Mennonite Hour on the Hagerstown, Md., radio station. Ministers: Dorsey Martin, John Grove, Glenn Diller, Abram Baer, Nelson Martin. Deacons: Charles Martin, Leavitt Keener.

Hancock County, Ohio. Meetinghouse erected before 1$79, one and one-hart miles west of New Stark. Withdrew from the Ohio Mennonite Conference in 1927
