Gutenberg to Gigabytes: Archives for the 21st Century
A Goshen Archives scanning initative of the Mennonite Church USA Historical Committee

Browse Scanned  Documents

Under the leadership of director John Sharp, the Gutenberg to Gigabyte Project began in the spring of 2003 at the Mennonite Church USA Archives-Goshen, Indiana, with the goal of systematically making archival materials web accessible. Below find a list of the archival collections that have been scanned.

This project relies on the important work of volunteers (Mabel Brunk, Esther Cender, Carl and Doris Metzler, and Carol Oyer) who scan the archival material. Since this work began, numerous documents have been identified and digitized for the purpose of increasing access for researchers. Digitizing archival material is also a step toward the preservation of these materials.
