 Administrative Information

             These records of the activities of the Greencroft Chapter of Seniors for Peace were deposited into the Archives by Florence B. Amstutz (Mrs. Clair Amstutz) and Evelyn Kreider in 1996.  The files from the Seniors for Peace office were deposited by J. B. Shenk in 1996.   Additional files from the Seniors for Peace office were deposited by J. B. Shenk in 2007 (Accession # 7309, 1 Box Large, January 7, 2008 /des).

 Historical Sketch

             Started in 1987, this Seniors for Peace program is run by a Coordinating Committee out of the College Mennonite Church, Goshen, Indiana.  Persons included (in 1987) were Atlee Beechy, Carl and Evelyn Kreider, John and Pauline Fisher, and Roy and Ethel Umble.  It is sponsored by the Mennonite Central Committee U.S. Peace Section.  Its office is located in the College Mennonite Church, 1900 South Main Street, Goshen, Indiana.  Its purpose is to encourage a ministry of reconciliation based on 2 Corinthians 5:18-20, "All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to Himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation..."
