    The first set of records of MEDA were transferred to the Mennonite Church USA Archives-Goshen by Orie O. Miller in 1971 and 1979.  This includes minutes and reports of the organization, from 1954-1974, and Orie O. Miller's own MEDA files, 1954-1974.

    The official files from MEDA’s Pennsylvania Office were transferred to the Archives by Jean M. Buchen, Akron, in 1991, and by Janelle Guntz, Lancaster, in 1994 and 1995.  In 1997, Ben Sprunger, President, deposited some files on Mennonite Business Associates, 1973-76, and on the MEDA Pennsylvania office, 1990-93.  These records date from 1962-1993.

    J. Winfield Fretz transferred his own set of MEDA files to the Archives in 1991.  These records date from 1952-1983.  Lyle E. Yost, also a member of MEDA, transferred his records in 1991 as well.  These records date from 1962-1977, and focus on Yost's involvement in Uruguay.

    A few other materials have been collected through the years: a file from Paul Erb in 1965; a publicity file from Lloyd Fisher in 1971; a video-tape of a local Ohio MEDA meeting from David Miller in 1992; and a “Preferred Shares” account book, 1954-61, from Janelle Guntz in 1995.

    The archival files from the Winnipeg, Manitoba, Office of MEDA, are found at the Centre for Mennonite Brethren Studies, 169 Riverton Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba.

    One should also note other related business records here at the archives: Mennonite Business Associates (MBA); Mennonite Industry and Business Associates (MIBA); and Church, Industry and Business Associates (CIBA) as found under VII-48.
