Martin, Clayton H., 93, of Lancaster, PA died February 24, 2008 at Lancaster, Lancaster County, PA.  He was born at Gordonville, Lancaster County, PA to Jonas and Lydia (Hoover) Martin and was married to Zelma Frey.

Surviving are children, Melissa, married to Keith Frankman, Sidney, married to Shari burkholder Martin, and 4 grandchildren.

Clate was employed by the Redevelopment Authority of Lancaster.  After retirement he enjoyed working in his garden and yard.  He was a member of Akron Mennonite Church where he served on various committees throughout the years.

Memorial services were held February 8, 2008 at Akron Mennonite Church, Akron, Lancaster County, PA.

Martin, J. Leon, 85, of Goshen, IN died March 6, 2008 at the same place.  He was born August 30, 1922 at Hagerstown, MD to Ira and Mary (Eshleman) Martin.  On February 16, 1950 at Croghan, NY he was married to Katherine S. Martin, who survives.

Surviving are children, Carolyn (Gareth) Nissley-Martin; Arlon G. (Sylvia) Martin; John L. (Sue) Martin; Darrell S. (Cynthia) Martin; Wayne D. (Ruth) Martin; and 15 grandchildren.

He was ordained to the ministry at Lowville, NY, in 1952 and was a minister
and chaplain for 38 years.

Memorial services were held March 8, 2008 at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen IN.

He was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Martin, Lloyd Steckle, 79, of St. Jacobs, Ontario, Canada died April 20, 2008 at St. Jacobs, Ontario, Canada from leukemia and congestive heart failure.  He was born July 20, 1928 in Waterloo County, Ontario, Canada  to Annanias and Susanna (Steckle) Martin.  On October 22, 1949 at St. Jacobs, Ontario, Canada he was married to Gladys Good, who was born December 4, 1928 and died December 6, 2005.

Surviving are children, Ron (Sharon) Martin, Darrel Martin, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, four sisters, Florence Wideman, Viola (George) Wallace, Ellen Moyer, and Laura (Milo) Shantz, and a brother, Abner (Shirley) Martin.

A daughter, Sharon Martin and a sister, Almeda Martin preceded him in death.

Memorial services were held April 23, 2008 at Jacobs Mennonite Church, St. Jacobs ON, with burial in St. Jacobs Mennonite Church Cemetery, Three Bridges Road, St. Jacobs.

Mast, Wilma Donetta Troyer, 83, of Kinross, Iowa died January 14, 2008 at Keswick, Iowa. She was born February 22, 1924 at Jet, Oklahoma.  On November 3, 1956 she was married to Alvin Mast. They were divorced.

Surviving are children, Rita Fowler and husband Terry, Rollin Mast and wife Tammy, Donna Mast, 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, two brothers Mervin Troyer, and her twin Wilbur Troyer, and a sister, Maurine Zimmerman.

Memorial services were held January 18, 2008 at Wellman Mennonite Church, Wellman, Iowa with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

McDowell, S. Esther Beechy, 95, of Goshen, IN died March 6, 2008 at Goshen, IN  from.  She was born October 8, 1912 at Sugarcreek, OH  to W. A. and Mary (Hostetler) Beechy.  On June 30, 1935 at Sugarcreek, OH she was married to Wiley McDowell, who survives.

Surviving are children, Barbara (George) Smucker, John E. "B. J." McDowell, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Oscar Beechy and W. L. Beechy preceded her in death.

Esther was active in numerous volunteer endeavors in Ohio and Goshen.  She was a church organist for more than 50 years at First Mennonite Church, Sugarcreek, Ohio.

Memorial services were held March 17, 2008 at Greencroft Meetinghouse, Goshen, IN.

She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Meyers, Connie Gahman,
46, of Wysox, PA died June 2, 2008 at Sayre, PA. 

She was born September 26, 1961 to George Edward and Miriam (Alderfer) Gahman.  George was born September 8, 1933 and survives.  Miriam was born June 9, 1935 and died January 27, 1991.

She was married to William Meyers, who survives.

Surviving are children, Eric, Nicholas, Felicia, Michael, and a brother, Don and wife Marilyn.

Her stepmother, Ruth Clemmer Gahman died May 18, 2006.

Memorial services were held June 7, 2008 at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church, Blooming Glen, Bucks Co., PA with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Miller, Alvin R., 90, of Goshen, IN died January 11, 2008 at Goshen, IN.  He was born October 14, 1917 at Newton County IN to Roman E. and Mattie (Yoder) Miller.  On November 20, 1937 at Nappanee, IN she was married to Nora Nissley, who survives.

Surviving are her brothers and sisters, Ruby Mast, Elnora (Owen) Yoder, Katie (Isaac) Mullett, Lydia Mae (Kenneth) Yoder, Tobias Miller, Roman Jr. (Barabara) Miller, Edward
(Velma) Miller, and Marvin (Lydia) Miller.

Memorial services were held January 15, 2008 at North Main St. Mennonite Church, Nappanee, IN with burial in Yellow Creek Mennonite Cemetery, Elkhart County, IN.

He was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Miller, Anna M. Yoder

Anna M. Miller, 68, of rural Arthur passed away at 4 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2007, at her residence.

Funeral services were held Sunday morning at the Lester M. Yoder residence in rural Arthur with the Bishop Menno D. Miller officiating. Burial was in Yoder Cemetery in rural Arthur. Visitation was held anytime prior to the funeral at the Yoder residence. Edwards Funeral Home, Arcola, assisted the Miller family with funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Miller was born December 18, 1939, in Coles County. She was a daughter of Menno W. and Katie (Miller) Yoder. She married Lonnie S. Miller on February 9, 1961, in Arthur. He passed away on June 7, 1963.

Survivors include one son, Richard Lynn Miller and wife Mary Jane of Bourbon; one daughter, Dorothy Louise Gingerich and husband Emery of Arcola; two sisters, Mary Otto and husband Freeman of Kokomo, Indiana, and Irma M. Yoder of Arthur; one brother, Lester M. Yoder and wife Martha of Arthur; and 16 grandchildren.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Edna Yoder; and three grandsons, a stillborn, Lavon Allen Miller, and John Elmer Gingerich.

She was part owner of Miller Dry Goods of rural Arthur for over 41 years. She was a member of the Old Order Amish.

Miller, Bonita F. Stoner, 63, of Lancaster, PA died February 24, 2008 at Ephrata, Lancaster Co., PA from brain cancer.  She was born October 2, 1944 at Lancaster, Lancaster Co., PA to Daniel R. and Fern (Meashey) Stoner.  On December 16, 1967 she was married to J. Marlin Miller.

Surviving are children, Melissa Miller Menard, J. Michael Miller 2 grandchildren, and her siblings, Daniel Ronald Stoner, husband of Joyce Showalter Stoner; Kenneth P. Stoner, husband of Marcia Arnone Stoner; Joyce E., wife of Clyde Engle, and Sharon V., wife of R. Lamar Hollinger.

A brother, Larry R. Stoner preceded her in death.

Memorial services were held March 1, 2008 at Forest Hills Mennonite Church, Leola, Lancaster Co., PA with burial in Rohrerstown Mennonite Cemetery, Rohrerstown, Lancaster Co., PA.

He was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Miller, Carrie Sauder, 96, of Archbold, OH died March 26, 2008 at Archbold, Fulton Co., OH from natural causes.  She was born January 30, 1912 at Archbold, Fulton, Co., OH to Samuel and Katie (Nofziger) Sauder.  On June 5, 1932 she was married to Martin J. Miller, who died October 5, 1974.

Surviving are children, Richard Miller; Robert (Mary) Miller; Jerry (Martha) Miller; Annabelle (Ed) Carlin; Doris (John) Eberly; Linda (James) Howard;
16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Viola Aeschliman.

Two brothers, Edwin Sauder, and Melvin Sauder, and three sisters, Emma Grieser, Fannie Sauder, and Laura Roth preceded her in death.

Carrie was a homemaker and dipped chocolate for Al Meda Candies.  She was a volunteer at Care & Share Ten Thousand Villages in Archbold.

Memorial services were held March 31, 2008 at Central Mennonite Church, Archbold, OH with burial in Pettisville Cemetery, Stryker, Fulton Co., OH.

She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Miller, Jacob M.

Jacob M. Miller, 83, of rural Arthur passed away at 6:25 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008, at his residence.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday morning at Owen Schrock's residence in rural Arthur with Bishop Omer A. Miller officiating. Burial was in Miller Cemetery in rural Arcola. Visitation preceded the funeral at the Schrock residence. Edwards Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Mr. Miller was born October 22, 1924, in Arthur. He was a son of Menno S. and Fannie (Beachy) Miller. He married Edna J. Miller on August 15, 1946, in Arthur. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Marvin Miller and wife Kathryn of Windsor, Missouri, Dennis Miller and wife Fern of Middlebury, Indiana, and David Miller and wife Barbara of Arthur; five daughters, Anna Marie Yoder and husband Lester of Arcola, Lorene Helmuth and husband George of Arthur, Rosa Miller of Sarasota, Florida, Esther Miller of Arthur, and Carolyn Chupp and husband Reuben of Arthur; a son-inlaw, Wilbur Eash of Shipshewana, Indiana; four brothers, Alvin Miller and wife Anna of Arthur, Albert Miller of Arcola, Ervin Miller and wife Marlene of Elkhart, Indiana, and Dave Miller and wife Martha Ann of Arthur; two sisters, Lizzie Marie Gingerich and husband Merle of Arthur and Katie Ann Troyer and husband Emanuel of Dundee, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Mary Miller of Arthur; 35 grandchildren; and 50 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Eash; four brothers, Edward, Benjamin, Stephen, and Harvey Miller; one sister, Sarah; and three grandchildren.

Mr. Miller was a member of the Old Order Amish.

Miller, Leo Edwin, 82, of Kalona, Iowa died March 8, 2008 at Kalona, Iowa.  He was born February 17, 1926 at Kalona, Washington County, Iowa to Milo and Lizzie (Kempf) Miller.  On September 14, 1950 at Kalona, Johnson Co., Iowa he was married to Darlene Brenneman, who was born December 26, 1927 and survives.

Surviving are children, Wendell Miller and wife Cheryl; Eileen Sawatsky and husband Steve; Merlin Miller and wife Kathy; Julia Truex and husband Michael; and 9 grandchildren.

A brother, Wayne Miller preceded him in death.

Memorial services were held March 12, 2008 at Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church Kalona, Johnson Iowa with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Miller, Lois Marguerite Steckly, 81, of Wellman, Iowa died March 26, 2008 at Kalona, IA.  She was born June 16, 1926 at Johnson County, Iowa to Enos and Amy (Hershberger) Steckly.  On December 28, 1950 at Wellman, Iowa she was married to Willis R Miller.

Surviving are children, James R. Miller; John C. Miller and wife Maryanne; Lowell A. Miller; Lois Ann Dehogues and husband Al; 8 grandchildren, and three sisters, Kathryn Steckly, Glennis Stutzman, and Magdalene Yoder.

A son, Warren Ray Miller preceded her in death.

Memorial services were held March 31, 2008 at Wellman Mennonite Church, Wellman, Iowa with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Miller, Robert L., 81, of Smithville, Ohio died June 10, 2008 at Walnut Creek, Ohio after a period of declining health.  He was born December 15, 1926 at Berlin, Ohio to Ervin and Eva (Miller) Miller.  On March 27, 1948 at Walnut
Creek, Ohio he was married to Mary Ellen Hamsher, who was born May 19, 1927 and survives.

Surviving are children, Carol (Roger) Wyant, Mark (Joyce) Miller, Miriam (Dan) Halterman, Ken Miller, Rose (Joel) Lehman, 10 grandchildren, a brother, Elmo (Irmgarde) Miller, a sister, Elsie Miller, a sister, Jeanette (Milton) Beyeler; and a sister-in-law, Martha Miller.

A brother, Jack Miller preceded him in death.

Memorial services were held June 15, 2008 at Smithville Mennonite Church, Smithville, Ohio with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Moyers, Mary Elizabeth Brunk, 94, of Broadway, VA died February 23, 2008 at Harrisonburg, Rockingham Co., VA from heart failure. 

She was born May 4, 1913 at Harrisonburg, Rockingham Co., VA to Elmer R. and Nannie (Blosser) Brunk.  Elmer was born March 6, 1881 and died June 27, 1966.  Nannie was born January 15, 1890 and did February 28, 1969.

On March 23, 1948 at Harrisonburg, VA she was married to Preston Elsworth Moyers, who was born July 16, 1914 and died March 24, 2005.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Randall L. & Elly Moyers, 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Evelyn Maust.

Memorial services were held February 26, 2008 at Trissels Mennonite Church, Broadway, Rockingham Co., VA with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Musser, Etta H. Weaver 91, of Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, [PA] passed away April 28, 2008. [Formerly of East Earl, PA].  Born March 30, 1917 in Earl Twp., [Lancaster Co., PA], she was the daughter of the late David H. and Cora (Heller) Weaver and a stepdaughter of the late Katie (Brubaker) Weaver.
  
  She was the wife of Jacob H. Musser. They would have been married 70 years on June 4. She was an active member of the New Holland Mennonite Church where she served faithfully with her husband who was a deacon. She was active in the church sewing circle and volunteered at the New Holland ReUzit. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, hosting dinner guests, sewing and quilting. She has made quilts for all her grandchildren.
  
  Surviving are six children, Dorothy, married to Irvin G. Weaver of East Earl, [PA], Ruth Mae, married to Melvin B. Lapp of Cochranville, [PA], Roy, married to Joyce (Shaub) Musser of Pottsville, [PA], James, married to Aldine (Weaver) Musser of Stephens City, VA, Janice, married to Glenn Wyble of Doylestown, [PA] and Jacob W., married to Karen (Martin) Musser of New Holland, [PA]; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; a sister, Susie, married to Charles Good of Lititz, [PA]; and a brother, Martin, married to Vera (Buchen) Musser of New Holland, [PA]. Preceding her in death are two brothers, Victor F. Weaver and Raymond H. Weaver; and a sister, Ruth Good.
  
  Funeral services were be held on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at New Holland Mennonite Church, New Holland, [PA]. Interment will be in the New Holland Mennonite Cemetery.

Musser, Etta Heller Weaver, 91, of New Holland died April 28, 2008 from cancer.  She was born March 30, 1917 at New Holland, Lancaster Co., PA to David H. and Cora (Heller) Weaver.  On June 4, 1938 at New Holland, Lancaster Co., PA she was married to Jacob Hertzler Musser, who was born May 2, 1916 and survives. They would have celebrated their 70th anniversary on June 4, 2008.

Surviving are children, Dorothy and Irvin Weaver, Ruth Mae and Melvin Lapp, Roy and Joyce (Shaub) Musser, Janice and Glenn Wyble, James and Aldine (Weaver) Musser,  Jacob and Karen (Martin) Musser, 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, a sister, Susie and Charles Good, and a brother, Martin and Vera (Buchen) Weaver.

Two brothers, Victor Weaver, and Raymond Weaver, and a sister, Ruth (Weaver) Good preceded her in death.

Memorial services were held May 1, 2008 at Holland Mennonite Church, New Holland, Lancaster Co., PA with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Myers, Nora Lynne, 7 months, of Keezletown, VA died June 4, 2008 at Charlottesville, VA from a progressive illness. 

She was born October 30, 2007 to Jason Myers-Benner and Janelle Myers-Benner. Jason Carl Benner was born September 29, 1976 and Susan Janelle Myers was born September 28, 1978.

Surviving are her parents and a sister, Kali Jean Myers (age 4).

Nora's personality was far greater than the small body she inhabited.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hope International Development Agency for their relief work in Myanmar.
