Sauder, Floyd H., 95, of Archbold, OH died December 13, 2005 at Archbold, OH.  He was born June 1, 1910 at Archbold, OH to Albert & Ida (Weaver) Sauder.  On November 19, 1933 he was married to Huldah Baer, who is deceased.

Surviving are children, David (Sharon) Sauder; James(Judith) Sauder; Sandra Sauder; 9 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by children: Marie Sauder and Charles (Sandra) Sauder; and siblings, Roy Sauder and Harley Sauder.

The funeral was held December 16, 2005 at Fairlawn Chapel, Archbold, OH, with burial in Pettisville Cemetary, Pettisville, OH.

He was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Floyd H. Sauder, 95, Archbold, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005 in Fairlawn Haven Nursing home, Archbold, where he had been a resident since 2002.
Born June 1, 1910, near Archbold, he was a son of Albert and Ida (Weaver) Sauder.  On Nov. 19, 1933, he married Huldah Baer, and she preceded him in death Dec. 28, 1997.
A lifelong Archbold area resident, he worked at Sauder Woodworking Co., Archbold, the former Archbold Ladder Co., and the former Northwest Silo Co., Pettisville.  He and His wife made and sold noodles under the trade name Marge's Noodles.  A member of Central Mennonite Church, he served on the board of directors for Grace Gospel Mission, Toledo, for over 20 years, and sang in the Wauseon Men's Chorus.
Survivors include two sons, David (Sharon) Sauder, Wauseon, and James (Judith) Sauder, Indianapolis, Ind.; several grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services were Friday, at Fairlawn Chapel, Charles Gautsche, Dale Wyse, Edward Diener, and James Roynon, were the officiating pastors.  Burial was in Pettisville Cemetery.

Schertz, Joan Weaver, 87 of Flanangan, IL died October 17, 2005 at Flanagan, IL of an aggressive form of cancer.  She was born September 29, 1918 at Elkhart, IN to Rev. William B. & Fanny (Stoltzfus) Weaver. 

On May 2, 1943 she was married to LaVerne Schertz, who is deceased.

Surviving are children, Marilyn (Louis Boulanger) Schertz, Glenn (Sandra) Schertz, and Donita (Michael) Herr; 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are siblings, Willis Weaver, Normal, IL; David Weaver, Avon Lake, OH; Florence Cate, Gresham, OR; and Joy Thutt, Akron, OH.

Predeceased by siblings, Lena Pearl Davidson, Magdalena Taylor, and Justin Weaver.

The funeral was held October 22, 2005 at Prairieview Mennonite Church, Flanagan, IL with burial in Waldo Township Cemetery, Gridley, IL.

She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Schmell, Wilmer, 83, of Souderton, PA died October 13, 2005 at Souderton, PA.  He was born January 16, 1922 to. 

On January 22, 1944 he was married to Jean Moyer who survives.

Surviving are children, Judith Gerber, Mary Jane Crockett, Michael Schmell, and 9 grandchildren.

Also surviving are sisters, Marion Rice, Stsella Schmell, and Eleanor Schmell.

Predeceased by daughter, Bette Schmell and siblings, Edward Schmell, and Margaret Overholt.

The funeral was held October 15, 2005 at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church, Blooming Glen, PA with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Schmidt, Arvid John, 60, of Wichita, Kansas died September 6, 2005 at Wichita, Kansas of a heart attack.  He was born January 9, 1945 at Newton, Kansas to Simon & Martha (Koehn) Schmidt.

The funeral was held September 12, 2005 at Tabor Mennonite Church, Newton, Kansas with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

He was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Schmidt, Clara Penner, 97, of Newton, Kansas died October 16, 2005 at Newton, KS.  She was born May 14, 1903 at Whitewater, KS to Isaac & Margaret (Nickel) Penner. 

On November 2, 1933 she was married to Ben Schmidt who is deceased.

Surviving are children, Eldon Schmidt, Elaine Miller, and Delores Strahm, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

The funeral was held October 21, 2005 at Grace Hill Mennonite Church, Whitewater, KS with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Schmidt, Henry B., 94, of Goessel, KS, died November 1, 2005 at Goessel, KS of declining health.  He was born April 6, 1911 at Hillsboro, KS to Henry & Eva (Hiebert) Schmidt.  On October 20, 1933 he was married to Esther Klassen, who is deceased.

Surviving are children, Kenneth Schmidt, Linford Schmidt, and Alfred Schmidt, 8 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held November 5, 2005 at Tabor Mennonite Church, Newton, KS, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

He was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Schrock, Mary I.

ARCHBOLD - Mary I. Schrock, 91, of Archbold, died Wednesday morning, July 20, 2005, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold, where she had resided since Jan. 29, 2004. Born Nov. 10, 1913, near Archbold, to Mary (Wyse) and Charles Crossgrove, she married Waldo O. Schrock on Aug. 12, 1937, and he preceded her in death on July 12, 1990.
She was a resident of the Fayette area for 36 years before moving to Archbold in 1988. She worked in general production at various places and after retiring worked at Sauder Village. A charter member of the Salem Mennonite Church near Waldron, Mich., she had since been a member of the Central Mennonite Church near Archbold.
Surviving are two sons, Weston (and wife, Marilyn) Schrock of West Unity and Thurman (Marilyn) Schrock of Wauseon; a daughter, Mrs. Dale (Mary Ida) Kunkle of Fayette; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Laura Baer living at Fairlawn Haven in Archbold.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Daniel; a great-grandson, Matthew Aaron Schrock; five brothers, Franklin Crossgrove, Henry Crossgrove, Walter Crossgrove, Ralph Crossgrove and Chauncey Crossgrove; and a sister, Cora Crossgrove. Visitation will be held Friday from 2-8 p.m. in the Fairlawn Chapel, Archbold.
Memorials services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Fairlawn Chapel with Pastors Wanda Stopher and Robert Stuckey to officiate. Interment will precede in the Pettisville Cemetery. Short Funeral Home in Archbold is in charge of the arrangements.

Schwab, Harriet L., 83, of Pandora, OH, died April 8, 2005 at Pandora, Putnam Co., OH.  She was born November 6, 1921 at Union Twp., Hancock Co., OH to Edwin & Anna (Albrecht) Schwab.

Surviving is a brother, Eugene Schwab, Rawson, OH.

Predeceased by siblings: Gordon and Edward Schwab

The funeral was held April 11, 2005 at Missionary Church, Pandora, Putnam Co., OH, with burial in Clymer Cemetery, Mt. Cory, OH.

Seaton, Velda, 99, of Washington, IA died September 22, 2005 after a period of failing health.  She was born to Floyd & Mabel (Jones) Hixson. 

She was married to Roy Seaton who is deceased.

Surviving are children, Kathleen Seaton and Karen Seaton.

The funeral was held September 24, 2005 at Gould Funeral Home, Richland, IA.

She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Sensenig, Blanche Mae, 92, of Lititz, Lancaster Co., PA died December 15, 2005 at Hospice of Lancaster Co., PA of natural causes.  She was born January 31, 1913 at New Holland, Lancaster Co., PA to Levi & Martha (Brackbill) Weaver.  On February 22, 1934 she was married to Daniel S Sensenig, who is deceased.

Surviving are children, Janice Sensenig, Daniel Sensenig, and 3 grandchildren.

Also surviving is a brother, John J. Weaver married to Rhoda Hess Weaver.  She was predeceased by a sister, Elsie Hess whose husband, John H. Hess survives.

The funeral was held December 17, 2005 at New Holland Mennonite Church, New Holland Lancaster Co., PA with burial in Weaverland Cemetery, Weaverland, Lancaster Co., PA.

She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Short, Katherine Stamm, 89, of Archbold, OH, died November 4, 2005 at Stryker, OH.  She was born August 5, 1916 at Archbold, OH, to Adolph & Ida (Short) Stamm.  On November 23, 1941 she was married to Harold J. Short, who is deceased.

Surviving are children, Gerald Short; William Short; Delvin Short; Jerry Short; David Short; Donald Short; Harold Short; Betty Timgley, 25 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held November 8, 2005 at Central Mennonite Church, Archbold, OH with burial in Pettisville Cemetary, Pettisville, OH.

She was a member of Mennonite Church USA.

Short, Katherine M.
 
 ARCHBOLD - Katherine M. Short, 89, of Archbold, died Friday afternoon, Nov. 4, 2005, at the home of her daughter near Stryker.
Born Aug. 5, 1916, near Archbold, to Ida (Short) and Adolph Stamm, she married Harold J. Short on Nov. 23, 1941, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 1999.
A lifelong resident of the Archbold area, she worked at Pettisville Packing and then at Pettisville Food Locker for several years, and later did cleaning for the Archbold Medical Group. She was a volunteer at Care & Share in Archbold for many years. She was a member of the Central Mennonite Church near Archbold.
Surviving are seven sons, Gerald (and wife, Janet) Short of Granite Falls, Wash., William (Kathleen) Short of Pettisville, Delvin Short of Toledo, Jerry Short of Everett, Wash., David (Louise) Short of Arlington, Wash., Donald (Nancy) Short of Scott, La. and Harold Jr. (Nancy) Short Jr. of Everett, Wash.; a daughter, Mrs. Jay (Betty) Tingley of Stryker; 25 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Zigler of Winter Park, Fla.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were her parents; a grandson; four brothers, Henry Stamm, Franklin Stamm, Frederick Stamm and Elroy Stamm in infancy; and three sisters, Florence Grieser, Helen Liechty and Emma Knight.
Visitation will be held today from 3-9 p.m. in the Short Funeral Home, Archbold.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Central Mennonite Church with Pastors Jeffrey Smith, Dale Wyse and Charles Gautsche to officiate. Interment will precede in the Pettisville Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Pettisville Cemetery.

Showalter, Kenneth L., 80, of Wilmot, Stark Co., Ohio, died November 28, 2005 of declining health.  He was born April 1, 1925 at Broadway, Virginia, to Luke & Lydia (Kauffman) Showalter.  On May 24, 1951 he was married to Joan Weaver, who survives.

Surviving are children, Eileen (Rick) Yoder, and Eli (Anita) Showalter, and 6 grandchildren.

Also surviving are siblings: Alta Rohr of Lancaster, PA, and Harold Showalter of Lancaster PA.

Predeceased by children, Eugene Showalter and Elwood Showalter and a sister, Barbara Crier.

The funeral was held November 30, 2005 at Longenecker Mennonite Church, Winesburg, Holmes Co., Ohio.

Snyder, Kevin Dale, 36, of Peoria, Arizona  died July 29, 2005 at Peoria, Arizona. He was born December 17, 1968 to Eldon & Mary (Grieser) Snyder who survive. 

Also surviving are brother, Sam Snyder; sister-in-law, Lori Nitzsche, niece Brooke, and sister, Betsy Loss.

The funeral was held August 6, 2005 at Trinity Mennonite Church, Glendale, Arizona.

Springer, Eugene W., 77, of Morton, IL died October 21, 2005.  He was born to Joseph & Emma (Birkey) Springer. 

On February 18, 1947 he was married to Mary Schrock who survives.

Surviving are children, Jody Knepp, Patty Johnson, Jeanne Lindley, Rollie Springer, and Jeff Springer, 21 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held October 24,2005 at Calvary Mennonite Church, Washington, IL with burial in Hirstein Cemetery, Morton, IL.

Stucky, Harley J., 85, of North Newton, Kansas, died November 11, 2005 at North Newton, Kansas.  He was born July 26, 1920 at Moundridge, Kansas,  to Julius & Olga (Krehbiel) Stucky.  On March 14, 1945 he was married to Ruby Voth, who survives.

Surviving are children, Steven, Franklin, Nathan, and Rita, 11 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by siblings: Marion, Carl, Lorene, and Fedora.

The funeral was held November 15, 2005 at Bethel College Mennonite Church, North Newton, Kansas with burial in Hopefield Mennonite Church Cemetery, Moundridge Kansas.

Stutzman, Arthur, 90, of Wellman, Iowa, died November 7, 2005 at Iowa City, Iowa, of a sudden illness.  He was born January 26, 1915 at Wood River, Nebraska, to William & Barbara (Gascho) Stutzman. 

Surviving are sisters, Eda Stutzman and Wilma Stutzman.

Predeceased by siblings: Rosa Roth and Malinda Schweitzer.

The funeral was held November 10, 2005 at Wellman Mennonite Church, Wellman, Iowa, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Stutzman, Lela M., 94, of Hesston, Harvey Co., KS, died December 2, 2005 at Hesston/Harvey, KS.  She was born July 1, 1911 at Chappell, NE to Wesley C. & Emma (Yoder) Stutzman.  On April 19, 1938 she was married to Perry Stutzman, who is deceased.

Surviving are children, Delores (and Sanford) Headings; and Marva (and Jim) Blough; 6 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are sisters, Cora Stauffer and Thelma Stutzman.
Predeceased by a brother, Paul Stutzman.

The funeral was held December 5, 2005 at Hesston Mennonite Church, Hesston, Harvey Co., KS, with burial in Eastlawn Cemetery, Hesston, Harvey Co., KS.
